Our 1st race of the season was our best race ever. We started from last place in the 1st race of the day (40th) and made it up to the 4th position in class and 19th overall. In the second race we made the pass for the class lead on lap 6 and held on to win the class finishing 12th overall!
We also won the 59th annual Dunlop Spring Trophy for winning the biggest class of the day (12 cars). It was a great day for ABR and our crew! Stayed tuned for more results as they come!

Our second race of the season had some interesting moments! We started the race 33 overall and 17th in class. Unlike the 1st race weekends temperatures it was nice and warm and the car worked much better, however it took time to get used to the added grip. The Mazmark engine fired by the NGK spark plugs was strong as usual and the BFGoodrich tires kept me planted to the track other than my moment in turn 5 (see video on Vimeo!). We managed to get to 17th overall and 6th in class. After the race we noticed that the alternator had again failed and thought our day was done. Kurt from Can-Saf Auto in Oshawa was there and got his brother to bring us an alternator from his 3 rotor race car and saved the day. Once the alternator arrived Chris James and his crew quickly got the car back together and ready for the track! We started race 2 17th on the grid and 6th in class. After falling back on the start (pace car too slow for the peripheral port) we started to get through the field. We caught up to the back bumper of the battle for the lead and although we were a couple of 10ths of a second faster, the continual lapped traffic prevented us from passing. We ended up with a 3rd place finish. A special thanks to Kurt from Can-Saf for saving our day, as well crew chief Chris James, and team Curtis James, Chris Davy and Joshua Tang. You guys always make it fun to race

We were working our way through the field at the start of race 2 Sunday morning when we suffered a catastrophic transmission failure!
